Various documents have been released by the government in direct response to the Hackitt report of May 2018.
Two recent releases are interesting and worth a further look:
1. House of Commons Housing, Communities and local Government Committee. Independent review of building regulations and fire safety: next steps Ninth report

Released on 16th July this document provides some detailed recommendations from the committee to witness evidence provided on a range of issues highlighted from the Hackitt final report.
2. Consultation on draft review of Approved Document B Volumes 1 & 2.
Released on 19th July both volumes are much simplified with a main driver toward European standards of fire reaction (A1 & A2) which would bring England into line with Scotland.
The introduction of Regulation 38 is welcome and the notorious `Diagram 40` from Vol 2 is missing (although the consultation of banning of combustible cladding is still underway).
